Content Management System Implementer and Developer(wordpress)
We are looking for a (CMS) WordPress developer/designer to join our marketing team. The successful candidate will design, code, debug, modify and maintain our websites. You will have a minimum of three years’ experience maintaining and producing aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly web sites that drive engagement and sales. You must be a user-centric thinker and have a strong understanding of common web best practices and standards including, but not limited to, user experience, responsive design, accessibility and security. The web developer should possess a passion for the arts and for engaging audiences through our digital marketing efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Front and back-end development in WordPress
  • Customize existing WordPress plug-ins and themes
  • Manage integrations with 3rd party APIs
  • Monitor and report on digital KPIs using Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager and other tools
  • Assess and improve web user paths, from landing pages through the funnel to successful checkout with our third-party ticketing / CRM solution
  • Identify issues through quality assurance and performance testing and create solutions for accessibility barriers
  • Plan, develop and implement our SEO strategy
  • Develop responsive HTML themes using Foundation or Bootstrap frameworks
  • Discover, diagnose and repair website issues (broken links, embed codes, duplicate pages, device & browser testing)
  • Prioritize projects in accordance with organizational objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

The Web developer generally works weekdays during office hours but may occasionally need to be available evenings and weekends.

REQUIREMENTS
Expertise in WordPress, WP custom code, integrating & customizing WP plugins
Experience with:

  • HTML5, CSS, CSS3, BootStrap, Javascript
  • Ecommerce websites; B2C preferred
  • Understanding of web security best practices
  • Google Marketing Platform (Analytics, Tag Manager, etc.)
  • SEO (optimizing copy and landing pages, keyword research, tweaking architecture, etc.)
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Necessary soft skills include attention to detail, multi-tasking, adaptability, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, accountability, time / project management capability and the ability to collaborate effectively with a cross functional team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 75 percent of the workday
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • This person communicates daily with others in the department to determine scope of work through video conferencing, in-person conversations and e-mail.
  • Must be able to assess the accuracy of work on a computer screen.
